Please check the following issues:
Make sure you have the correct version installed.
E.g. To see which Snagit version you have, go to the Help tab then select "About Snagit". Please see image below:

Make sure that you have the correct license key and that you "Copy" and "Paste" your key.
Do "NOT" type it in to avoid errors.
To Copy: Highlight your license key and press CTRL + C
To Paste: Go to the location you need to enter your license key and press CTRL +V
Make sure there are no empty spaces at the beginning or end of the key.
12345-ABCDE-67890-FGHIJ-12ZXC - no empty spaces
